Baby Emma has grown up to be such a sweet little girl! She has the most enviable head of curls and a smile that won’t quit. She’s walking like a real pro, curious about everything and fearless about nothing. When we took a walk out back today she was in her element-it was hard to keep up with her! What a terrific way to spend the afternoon–and it was great to see Jackie, Becky and Mike again. Thank you all!
Is there anything more exciting than the waiting for a new baby? Especially the first?
B and P will be having a little boy brighten their world in October and had a maternity session the other day. P was as into it as the mom-to-be and they will make great parents. It’s a lucky little guy who will be joining their family.
And I don’t know if a woman ever looks beautiful but during the wait.
At least I got his blog started, now to be more regular in posting.
So. The question is: where to start? At the first of the year, or post-date or random happenings until I can get caught up. Random, I think, so we’ll really start with a wonderful little girl I started photographing right after she was born–very early– last summer.
We began her sessions when she was so small I was afraid to touch her, for fear of hurting her, but she’s grown visibly with every monthly session. This session was in April, she was holding her head up, rolling over and so giggly charming! She put on her Easter dress, and we were able to get some window light that just illuminated her so magically! I love children’s photographs in black and white, with little assisted light. I seems to give them an instant timelessness. Like looking back in your scrapbook 25 years from now, only instantly.
